Want more energy? Looking for some delicious high energy foods? That's great because what I'm here to share with you is unknown to most of the population. I've worked with so many people who believe that high energy foods consist of coffee, energy drinks, and chocolate bars. It's no wonder North Americans are so fat and lethargic.
Let me just start by saying that stimulants are not energy foods!
That means that coffee and other quick fixes that are been marketed right down your throat are doing you more harm then good. You want to know why? Well, the main reason is that stimulants, like caffeine, wear down your adrenal glands. As this continues to occur over time, your adrenal glands actually begin to shut down and you can get what is known as "adrenal fatigue". This is a common problem that most people don't even know they have.
What ends up happening in such cases is that when stimulants (like coffee or pop) are ingested, they actually rob your body of energy and make you more tired.
So eating for energy means choosing foods that nourish you, not stimulate you. There's a big difference!
Well, the sad news is that no single food will give you more energy than you overall diet. This is how most people get into trouble in first place. They eat terribly and then think that a quick espresso will give them the long-lasting energy jolt they need. It just doesn't work in the long run.
So the goal, then, is to eat a diet that consists of foods that are vibrating at higher energies. This means raw living foods. When a food has not been cooked, it maintains its natural energy properties (not to mention all of its other nutrients). Thus, when you eat raw foods, you're giving your body direct energy from the ultimate source - the sun - as most of these foods will be plant-based, and the sun is where they get their energy.
To have more energy, you need to follow a high energy diet. After that, you can start to knit pick and see which specific foods give you more energy, if at all.
To help you get started, here is a list of some my favourite energizing foods:
Although these foods can help give you so more energy, the key remains to follow a whole foods diet, preferably raw, that will provide you with tons of life force, alkalinity, and nutrients to help your body thrive.
